Billy Strickland II
About
When he was growing up, attorney Billy Strickland, heard this statement quite often from people who were taking advantage of him or his family, “Sue me.” He grew up on the other side of the tracks, and what these people understood was that he could not afford to retain an attorney. Because of that, they knew they could take advantage of him or his family. He decided at a young age that if he could not afford an attorney he would become an attorney. He wanted to be the type of attorney that would help others through many of the obstacles he faced growing up.
That is the reason his main focus is YOUR case OUR mission! Whether it’s protecting you from an insurance company taking advantage of you when you’re injured, protecting you from someone who has not kept their word, or protecting you from an over-zealous court system, his desire is to fight for you when you’re unable to do so yourself.
Billy Strickland's promise to you is that you will get a tenacious attorney that will not settle for mediocre outcomes. He promises to walk with you through every step of the process. He promises to be a hands-on attorney. He likes to sit down with all of my clients and talk to them firsthand and strives to be accessible to all his clients. You can call and talk to him when you have a legal question about your case. His professional and courteous staff will be there to handle much of the paperwork and answer some of the questions you have in the process. But when it comes time to negotiate a matter with an insurance company or another attorney, rest assured that he will be the one negotiating your case, not my paralegals.
He cannot help you with the physical pain and discomfort of an injury, or the emotional trauma of lawsuits and arrests, but he can ease your mind that you will have an attorney that understands what it is like to need someone to stand with you and fight, and that is what he intends to do.
Attorney Strickland has practiced most of his career here in Wayne County, except for one year as a clerk for the Court of Appeals and one year as a City Attorney.
On a personal note: He has a lovely wife and four children. He spends most of his free time with his family at church, home, hunting, fishing, and other activities that many Eastern North Carolinians enjoy.
